The Lion’s Castle Hotel 3*

Zamok Leva (The Lion’s Castle) is squirreled away in a quiet corner of the historic city, a little away from all the hubbub. This mock castle in miniature has welcomed some colourful guests over the years, including the grande dame of Polish film Beata Tyszkiewicz, Mikhail Gorbachev and in more recent times, Orange Revolution hero Viktor Yushchenko. It’s not a luxury hotel as such, but the place has very pleasant staff and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Hotel Lion’s Castle is located in the elite housing area of Lviv, embracing two buildings owned by the Austro-Hungarian and Polish elite before the World War Two, and by the Communist Party leaders in the times of Soviet Union.

In the days of Independent Ukraine our hotel guests politicians and businessmen, diplomats, departmental ministers, deputies and all those who want to feel the friendly and homelike atmosphere that prevails in the Lion’s Castle.

The unique and fairy-tale atmosphere of our castle made a due impression on the filmmakers from the Dovzhenko Film Studio, who used the territory of the hotel to film some scenes of a Christmas movie entitled “The Gift of Fate”.

You will be enchanted by the beautiful surroundings of the hotel, where under the tree crowns the time seems to stop.
